As part of our commitment to thoughtful care, Phoenix Rising proudly prioritizes clean hair care products and sustainable salon practices whenever possible.

We are also proud members of the Green Circle Salons program, helping reduce salon waste by responsibly recovering and repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Through this partnership, hair clippings, excess color, foils, plastics, and other salon materials can be diverted into innovative recycling and recovery programs.

For us, sustainability is simply another way of caring—for our clients, our community, and the world we all share.

Phoenix Rising Hair & Healing is owned and led by Achlie Nix, a Texas native, natural texture specialist, educator, artist, and lifelong student of her craft.

Achlie is passionate about helping clients embrace and celebrate their natural hair, especially those with curly and textured hair who may have spent years feeling frustrated, misunderstood, or unsupported in traditional salon environments.

She specializes in natural texture, personalized color, and creating looks that help clients feel more like themselves—not more like someone else.

A firm believer in continuing education, Achlie is constantly refining her skills and staying at the forefront of industry advancements. Her approach combines technical expertise with curiosity, creativity, and a genuine desire to help every guest understand their hair more deeply.

Whether she's helping a curly-haired client finally love their natural texture, creating color that reflects someone's personality, or guiding a guest through changes related to pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, or other life transitions, her goal remains the same:
